nomex 410 is the raw material of nomex insulating paper, which is a calendered insulating paper with excellent intrinsic dielectric strength, mechanical toughness, flexibility and resilience.


Over the years, nomex 410 has met the increasing requirements of the electrical industry. Nomex 410 specifications have 12 thicknesses (0.05-0.76mm) (2-30mil), and are widely used in most electrical equipment.

It has an excellent balance of characteristics, and shows mature and stable performance in a wide range of applications. It has become a classic benchmark product in terms of performance, reliability and service life in insulating materials, and has been well received by customers.

The outstanding performance of nomex 410, and the rest of the nomex 400 series, is derived from five key technical parameters:


1. Excellent thermal stability - the temperature up to 200°C has no or little effect on the electrical and mechanical properties of nomex, and it can still maintain its use value even at a relatively high temperature. Furthermore, these excellent properties are maintained even when exposed to 220°C for at least 10 years of continuous operation.

2. Excellent mechanical toughness - strengthened nomex products are strong and resilient, while resisting tearing and abrasion

3. Intrinsic dielectric strength - in reinforced products, depending on the type and thickness of the product, nomex can withstand 18 kV/mm (457 mil) to 40 kV/mm (1,015 mil) for a short time without painting or resin treatment ) electrical stress.


4. Wide chemical compatibility - nomex is basically not affected by most solvents, and has unusual resistance to acid and alkali corrosion. It is compatible with all types of paints and adhesives, transformer oils, lubricants and refrigerants.


5. Excellent flame retardancy - nomex products will not melt and will not burn when the limiting oxygen index (LOI) exceeds 20.8 (usually the critical value for combustion in air) at 220°C.

The main application fields of noemex 410 insulating paper: widely used in generators, transformers, electrical equipment, electromechanical and household appliances, etc.
