Epoxy Prepreg DMD

Mar 03, 2023

Epoxy Prepreg DMD is a composite material made for electrical insulation. It is a combination of a layer of electrical insulation paper known as DMD (Dacron Mylar Dacron), which is coated on both sides with a layer of epoxy resin. The term pre-preg refers to the fact that the resin is already partially cured or "pre-impregnated" into the DMD, allowing it to be used as an intermediate material in the production of electrical insulation systems.

This material is commonly used in the manufacture of electrical motors, transformers, and other high voltage equipment. It provides excellent mechanical strength, moisture resistance, and electrical insulation properties, making it ideal for use in harsh environments. Additionally, epoxy prepreg DMD can withstand high temperatures and is capable of maintaining its electrical insulation properties even at elevated temperatures.
